About Quirino
Even before Quirino became an individual province, it was the forest area of Nueva Vizcaya and was inhabited by the tribal group, Negritos. In 1966, Quirino became an independent province and is now nicknamed the Forest Heartland of Cagayan Valley.
For the thrill-seekers, this province has the Quirino Watersports Complex, which offers a series of activities. The Panagdadapun Festival takes place here every September and literally, means “gathering.” As a souvenir, Fossilized Roses and assorted wood carvings are picked upon by travelers.
Politicians Dakila Cua and Warlita Alberto come from this province.
