About the 4D Lotto
The 4D Lotto, initiated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSCO) in August 1997, is a well-liked lottery game in the Philippines. It’s a game with a predetermined prize that entails selecting four numbers ranging from 0 to 9. The sequence of these numbers is crucial; in order to claim the minimum jackpot prize of ₱10,000.00, your numbers must precisely correspond to the winning combination.
How to Play the 4D Lotto
To play the 4D Lotto, you need to buy a ticket from any authorized lotto outlet nationwide. Then, you have to pick one number from 0 to 9 for each of the four columns on the play slip. This results in a four-digit number. For example, if you pick 1, 2, 3, and 4, your number is 1234. The Lucky Pick (LP) option is where the computer randomly selects the four numbers for you. Each ticket for 4D Lotto costs 10 pesos. Players must match all four of the winning numbers drawn in exact order in the official 4D Lotto draw for the date played to win the jackpot prize.
Understanding the 4D Lotto PERM and Roll 1 or Roll 4 Play
If you want to increase your chances of winning the 4D Lotto, you can try the PERM and Roll 1 or Roll 4 play options.
In the Perm play type, this involves betting on all the possible combinations (permutations) of the four-digit number you selected. There are different bet costs depending on the structure of your chosen number. Please see the table below:
|Selection Description||Example||Number of Combinations||Total Bet Cost|
|4 different digits||1234||24||P240.00|
|2 different digits and 1 pair of the same digits||1233||12||P120.00|
|2 different pairs of the same digit||1122||6||P60.00|
|3 the same digits and 1 different digit||1112||4||P40.00|
For Roll 1 or Roll 4, the system generates the first or last digit for you. In the Roll 1 play, you choose the last three digits and the system generates the first digit. This creates ten sets of numbers. The bet amount for each set of numbers is the value you marked. Roll 4 works in a similar way, but in this case, you select the first three digits and the system generates the last digit.
|Selection||Number of Combinations||Total Bet Cost|
|Roll 1 (System generates the first digit)||10||P100.00|
|Roll 4 (System generates the last digit)||10||P100.00|
For both Roll 1 and Roll 4, there are 10 combinations each. The total bet cost for each is P100.00.
How to Win the 4D Lotto: Winning Options Explained
To win the jackpot prize in the 4D Lotto, you have to match all four numbers drawn in the exact order. So, if the numbers drawn were 1234, you would only win the first prize if you had also selected 1234, in that same order. If your numbers were 1324, for instance, even though you have the same numbers, the order is different, so you wouldn’t win the first prize.
The amount of money you can win depends on how many of your numbers match the drawn numbers, and in what order. Here’s a breakdown:
|How to Win (In Exact Order)||Prizes|
|Match all 4 of 4 numbers||Jackpot (minimum of P10,000.00)|
|Match last 3 of 4 numbers||P800.00|
|Match last 2 of 4 numbers||P100.00|
- If all four of your numbers match in the exact order, you win the jackpot prize, which is at least P10,000.00.
- If the last three of your numbers match in the exact order, you win the second prize, which is P800.00.
- If the last two of your numbers match in the exact order, you win the third prize, which is P100.00.
If two or more persons win the jackpot, the prize is divided equally among all the winners, with each winner’s payment determined by equally dividing the total jackpot amount. If there are no jackpot winners, the prize will be added to the next draw.
4D Lotto Ticket Price
A 4D Lotto ticket costs 10 pesos per combination. This includes a 20% documentary stamp tax (DST). If you play more than one combination or use the system play option, you need to pay accordingly.
