Sarangani is the Southern Philippines’ Front Door to BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area). It is the southernmost province of Mainland Mindanao. This province was once part of South Cotabato and separated in March 1992 under the Republic Act. No. 7228.
One of the reasons people visit Sarangani is for aero-sport adventures such as taking a glide from the SAFI Ranch. In 2015, it hosted the 2015 Paragliding Accuracy World Cup. Lamlifew Village Museum allows tourists to observe ethnic heritage, organic farming, and traditional weaving of the Blaan indigenous people.
Sarangani was home to well-known boxers Manny Pacquiao, Richie Mepranum, and Ardin Diale.
